Advantages of Alpha V PRO sewage pumps with free passage
The Alpha V PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Alpha V pumps. This version is primarily designed for operation in harsh conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certificates for the pumps, along with the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller—50 mm—which works successfully with discharge pipelines from DN50 upward.
Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content with ease, while typical macerators act like winding reels. Macerator blades, which quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater.
When selecting a sewage pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require greater power.
Control
Alpha V PRO sewage pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float switch (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and dual-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control switchboards: SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, the pump becomes a lightweight portable dewatering pump for liquids with a high content of solids, such as gravel, sand, and waste. The Alpha V PRO pump is used for dewatering mines, transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and operating in demanding industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has stable feet extending from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
