Advantages of Alpha V PRO sewage pumps with free passage
The Alpha V PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Alpha V pumps. This version is primarily distinguished by its suitability for operation in harsh conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certificates for the pumps and the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller—50 mm—which works effectively with discharge pipelines from DN50 upwards.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas conventional grinders act like winding devices. Grinder blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller's thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater.
When selecting a sewage pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry sometimes requires the use of a higher-power pump.
Control
Alpha V PRO sewage pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float switch (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and twin-pump lifting stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-controlled power and control panels, SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, the pump becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). The Alpha V PRO pump is used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has stable feet extending from the pump body, providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
