Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The “EVO” version of the pump features a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.

The specifications of the Alpha V pump provide an alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged and cause operating difficulties for the user. The free passage beneath the impeller allows contaminants up to 40 mm in size to pass through, ensuring long-term operation without the need for intervention. The open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges, and block the pump. Sewage pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. When selecting a pump, the specifications of the available pipeline should be checked, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require greater power.
Control
Alpha V is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control sewage pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and dual-pump lift stations, we offer professional power and control cabinets with relay-contactor and microprocessor-based designs.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, debris). The Alpha V sewage pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. Alpha V has stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing it to stand on a level surface while providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, it comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, so they are not compatible with coupling feet such as the EASY.
