Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The “EVO” version of the pump features a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.

The parameters of the Alpha V pump offer an alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged and expose users to operational difficulties. The free passage under the impeller for contaminants up to 40 mm in size ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents excellently, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with a free passage under the impeller do not have these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require greater power.
Control
Alpha V is available in four versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control septic tank pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and twin-pump lifting stations, we offer professional power and control cabinets with relay-contactor or microprocessor control.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and operation with liquids containing high levels of solids (gravel, sand, debris). The Alpha V septic tank pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. Alpha V has stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing it to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, it comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, meaning they are not compatible with coupling feet such as the EASY.
