Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The pump in the “EVO” version has a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.
Advantages of Alpha V pumps
The Alpha V sewage pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use in the home or a small business. The parameters of the Alpha V pump make it an alternative to pumps with a grinder, which often becomes clogged, causing operational difficulties for the user. The free passage beneath the impeller of contaminants up to 40 mm in size ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous sewage content perfectly, whereas grinders act like winding devices. Grinder blades that quickly become blunt in sewage act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with free passage beneath the impeller do not have these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic sewage. When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
Alpha V is available in four versions combining single- and three-phase power supply with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control the operation of septic tank pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend simple controllers M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and dual-pump pumping stations, we offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor and microprocessor-based designs.
Possible applications
With the appropriate hose connection, we obtain a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, waste). The Alpha V septic tank pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. Alpha V has stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing it to stand on a level surface while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, it comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, which means they are not compatible with coupling feet, e.g. type EASY.
