Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The “EVO” version of the pump features a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.

The free passage beneath the impeller allows contaminants up to 40 mm in size to pass through, ensuring long-lasting operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become dull in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw wastewater from residential sources. When selecting a pump, check the specifications of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require a higher-power model.
Control
The Alpha V is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float switch or an external signal. To control septic tank pumps, except for versions with a built-in float switch, we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump lifting stations, we offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor and microprocessor-based designs.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, debris). The Alpha V septic tank pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. The Alpha V has stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing it to stand on a level surface while providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, it comes standard with a 10-metre power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, which means they are not compatible with coupling feet such as the EASY.
