Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The “EVO” version of the pump features a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.

The parameters of the Alpha V pump make it an alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged and exposes the user to operating difficulties. The free passage under the impeller allows contaminants up to 40 mm in size to pass through, ensuring long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with a free passage under the impeller do not have these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
Alpha V is available in four versions, combining single-phase and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float switch or an external signal. To control septic tank pumps (except versions with a built-in float switch), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and dual-pump pumping stations, we offer professional power and control cabinets with relay-contactor and microprocessor control.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and for working with liquids containing large amounts of solids (gravel, sand, debris). The Alpha V septic tank pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and transfer water from a pond or ditch to another tank. Alpha V has stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing it to stand on a level surface while providing sufficient clearance under the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, it comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, meaning they are not compatible with coupling feet such as the EASY.
