This design provides increased for resistance to wear and a long service life when operating in contact with raw water, which may may contain fine mineral impurities. The mechanical seal is made using a ceramic / SiC / NBR arrangement. The pump is factory-equipped with a check valve, preventing water from flowing back through the discharge pipeline when the pump stops.
