Vertical diaphragm tanks are used to store water in water supply systems. IBO diaphragm tanks are designed to stabilize water pressure and increase the effective volume of the water supply system. They are intended for use with pumps whose parameters correspond to those of the tank.
The tanks are made of thick carbon steel and coated with a special anti-corrosion paint. Inside the tanks are EPDM rubber diaphragms, forming a membrane between the water inside and the tank’s outer shell. Compressed air is located between the diaphragm and the tank casing; under pressure, it releases water from the tank.
When used in hydrophore systems, the tanks can reduce the number of pump starts over a given period, which positively affects the service life of the entire installation. The volume of water inside is the difference between the volume of the casing and the volume of air surrounding the diaphragm.
Application
Combined with surface or submersible pumps, they form hydrophore systems designed to supply water from private water intakes to plots of land, single- and multi-family homes, farms, and businesses.
