The IBO 4" SKM series consists of monoblock peripheral submersible pumps with a 4" diameter, equipped with a brass impeller and brass connections. Available in three power ratings (0.75, 1.1, and 1.5 kW) and with 15 or 20 m cables, they cover a wide range of applications – from domestic installations to larger commercial and agricultural facilities.

Application
The IBO 4" SKM series is designed for drawing and pumping technically clean raw water from deep-water intakes and tanks for single-family and multi-family homes, farms, and irrigation systems. The pumps operate exclusively with water free of solid contaminants – the medium must not contain solid particles or abrasive substances that could damage the brass impeller and mechanical seal. The pumps are not water-treatment devices – when using the water for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate treatment.
The 4" SKM 230 V submersible pumps operate in a vertical position, submerged to a maximum depth of 80 m. The permitted temperature of the pumped liquid is up to 35°C. The devices are compatible with standard pressure tanks and pressure-control systems.

What is the difference between the 15 m cable version and the 20 m cable version?
The 15 m cable version has a starting capacitor built directly into the motor – the electrical installation is simpler and does not require additional components. The 20 m cable version is supplied with a separate starter box containing a capacitor, overcurrent protection, and a switch. The box provides additional motor protection against overload and allows the pump to be switched off manually without interfering with the electrical installation.
Can the 4" SKM pump handle water containing sand or other solid contaminants?
No. The 4" SKM series pumps are intended exclusively for use with clean water. The presence of solid particles or abrasive substances may damage the brass impeller and mechanical seal. If the intake contains sand or suspended solids, install a filter before the pump or choose a model designed for such conditions.
How do I select the appropriate pump power from the 4" SKM series?
The power selection depends on the depth of the static water level, the length and diameter of the discharge pipeline, and the facility’s water demand.
