Description
4" IBQ IVR 20-7 – high-speed submersible pump with a PM motor and dedicated variable frequency drive
IBO's 4" IBQ IVR series submersible pumps are multistage centrifugal devices designed to draw and pump raw water from deep water sources, equipped with a synchronous permanent-magnet (PM) motor and a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD). As the manufacturer, we designed this series to provide higher energy efficiency and compact dimensions at speeds of up to 5000 rpm compared with traditional 4" submersible pumps.
Who it is for
- Water system installers – thanks to a design that is up to 60% shorter and 50% lighter than other pumps with similar capacities, clear technical specifications, and a VFD panel with quick error-code diagnostics, installation and operation are significantly easier.
- Owners of single-family homes and farms – we ensure a stable supply of raw water from deep wells with a soft start that does not overload the household electrical system.
- Service companies and hydrogeologists – we offer easy access to documentation, Dambat technical support, and warranty and post-warranty service.
- Agricultural, industrial, and construction facilities – our devices are equipped with a programmable Timer function, enabling automatic cyclic start/stop operation, which is useful wherever unattended pump operation according to a schedule is required.
- Designers of heat pump systems and pressure-boosting systems – thanks to their compact dimensions, 4" IBQ IVR pumps can be easily integrated even in locations with limited access.
Applications
- Drawing and pumping raw water from deep wells with a minimum diameter of 4" in domestic, agricultural, and industrial facilities.
- Supplying pressure-boosting systems in single-family and multi-family buildings.
- Irrigation systems for gardens, orchards, and agricultural crops, as well as filling and emptying retention tanks.
- Industrial and construction installations requiring continuous, automated operation with parameter monitoring.
- Integration with heat pump systems and water-retention systems in locations with limited access.
The 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump operates on a three-phase 380–415 V / 50 Hz power supply with the dedicated VFD included in the set. The pump is not a water-treatment device – when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate water preparation.
Features of the 4" IBQ IVR series – description and technical data
IBO's 4" IBQ IVR submersible pumps are multistage centrifugal devices designed to draw and pump raw water from deep water sources. A key feature of the series is the use of a synchronous permanent-magnet motor (Permanent Magnet Motor – PM) instead of a traditional asynchronous motor. The PM motor operates at speeds of up to 5000 rpm, resulting in higher energy efficiency, lower mechanical losses, and a significantly more compact design – 4" IBQ IVR pumps are up to 60% shorter and up to 50% lighter than conventional equivalents with the same hydraulic parameters.
Every pump in the 4" IBQ series is supplied with a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD), which serves as the control and protection system. The VFD enables operation in five modes: constant frequency, constant current, constant pressure, float, and Timer – allowing you to program one-time operation with automatic shutdown, delayed start, or cyclic start/stop operation according to a schedule.
- Motor: synchronous permanent-magnet (PM) motor,
- Speed: up to 5000 rpm
- Power supply: 3~ 380–415 V / 50 Hz (only with the dedicated VFD)
- VFD operating modes: constant frequency, constant current, constant pressure, float mode, Timer
- Protections: dry running, overload, overheating, phase loss, overvoltage/undervoltage
- Housing material: AISI 304 stainless steel
- Motor ingress protection rating: IP68
- Operating mode: continuous
- Installation position: vertical
- Minimum well diameter: 4"
- Max. pressure: ~19.5 bar
- Max. pumped-liquid temperature: +35°C
Warranty: IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump with VFD
What is the 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump used for?
The 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump is designed to draw and pump raw water from deep wells, retention tanks, and rivers – in irrigation systems, pressure-boosting systems, and heat pump installations.
How does the 4" IBQ IVR pump differ from a traditional submersible pump?
The 4" IBQ IVR pump is equipped with a synchronous PM motor and a dedicated VFD – unlike traditional asynchronous pumps, it offers a soft start that eliminates water hammer, fully automatic operation, and electronic protections unavailable in some designs
Who is the 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump intended for?
The 4" IBQ IVR pump is a technologically advanced device designed for demanding installations. Thanks to its synchronous PM motor and dedicated VFD, it is suitable wherever high performance, a deep water source, and automated operation are required: farms, industrial installations, irrigation systems, and heat pumps. Its compact design also makes it suitable for locations with limited access.
How do I install the 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump?
The pump must be installed vertically, at least 5 m above the bottom of a well with a diameter of at least 4", with a check valve installed directly above the discharge outlet. The VFD must be installed exclusively indoors in a dry, ventilated room at a temperature of 0–35°C. Installation must be performed by a qualified installer.
How do I select the right model from the 4" IBQ IVR series for my well?
Key parameters include the well depth, the dynamic water level, and the required system pressure and capacity. The 4" IBQ IVR series includes models with capacities from 400 to 800 l/min and a head of up to 195 m – we encourage you to contact the technical department or a local distributor to select the right model.
Where can I buy the 4" IBQ IVR submersible pump?
As the manufacturer, we do not sell directly. 4" IBQ IVR pumps are available from our trade partners, installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
