Application
The 3" IBQ series is intended for extracting raw water from boreholes and open water reservoirs for single-family homes, farms, garden and orchard irrigation, area drainage, and supplying water-supply and industrial systems with raw water before treatment. The pump is not a water-treatment device – when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate water preparation.
The pumps operate on single-phase power over a wide range of 160–250 V, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The 3" IBQ 230 V submersible pump works with a pressure tank with a capacity of at least 80 l, as required by the motor’s soft-start characteristics.
Features of the 3" IBQ series
The IBO 3" IBQ series pumps are equipped with a high-speed motor (6000 rpm) using permanent magnets and an inverter. The inverter does not regulate pump capacity according to water demand – its function is to increase and maintain the motor’s high speed, which, with the same hydraulic parameters, allows a smaller motor to be used than in a conventional pump.
The inverter provides a smooth, several-second start without a sudden increase in current draw and without water hammer in the system. It also monitors the motor’s current draw and switches off the pump if dry running is detected. The body, housing, shaft, and rotor are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the impeller and diffuser are made of PPO polymer.
