3" IBQ 5-8 - submersible pump
The IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump is a multi-stage design with a high-speed motor, intended for the collection and pumping of raw water in single-family houses and farms, as well as for irrigation, drainage and industrial applications. The inverter integrated with the motor ensures smooth start-up without water hammer and a wide range of tolerable supply voltage, and the smaller dimensions of the drive facilitate installation in narrow wells.
For whom
-
Owners of single-family houses – the compact design fits into narrow wells, and the wide supply voltage range (160–250 V) increases resistance to mains fluctuations.
-
Agricultural and horticultural farms – higher efficiency models power irrigation systems and drip lines without the need for a larger engine.
-
Industrial and drainage installations – soft start reduces mechanical and electrical loads during frequent pump starts.
-
Installers – smaller engine dimensions while maintaining hydraulic parameters reduce drilling and installation costs.
Application
The 3" IBQ series is intended for collecting raw water from boreholes and open water reservoirs for the needs of single-family houses, farms, irrigation of gardens and orchards, drainage of areas and supplying water supply and industrial installations with raw water before its treatment. The pump is not a water treatment device - when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate preparation.
The pumps operate on single-phase power supply in a wide range of 160–250 V, with a maximum temperature of the pumped liquid up to 35°C. The 3" IBQ 230 V submersible pump works with a hydrophore tank with a capacity of at least 80 l, which is due to the soft start characteristics of the engine.
Features of the 3" IBQ series
The IBO 3" IBQ series pumps are equipped with a high-speed motor (6000 rpm) using permanent magnets and an inverter. The inverter does not regulate the pump's efficiency depending on the water consumption - its task is to raise and maintain high engine revolutions, which, with the same hydraulic parameters, allows the use of a smaller motor than in a traditional pump.
The inverter ensures a gentle start-up of several seconds without a sudden increase in current consumption and without water hammer in the installation, and also monitors the motor current consumption, turning off the pump if dry running is detected. The body, housing, shaft and rotor are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the impeller and diffuser are made of PPO polymer.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump
Which well is the 3" IBQ submersible pump suitable for?
The maximum diameter of the pump is 78 mm, which allows installation in typical 3-inch drilled wells. Before purchasing, it is worth measuring the actual diameter of the well to avoid installation problems.
What makes the 3" IBQ pump unique?
The pump uses a high-speed motor (6000 rpm) with permanent magnets and an inverter, thanks to which, with the same hydraulic parameters, it can have smaller dimensions than a traditional motor. The inverter also provides a soft start without water hammer, a wide supply voltage range (160-250 V) and built-in dry-running protection based on current consumption monitoring.
Is a special hydrophore tank needed for the 3" IBQ pump?
Due to the gentle start-up, which takes just a few seconds, the pump should work with a hydrophore tank with a capacity of at least 80 liters - too small a tank may result in the pump turning on too often.
How to choose a 3" IBQ pump model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the depth of the well and the amount of water needed at the same time - the series includes variants with different lifting heights and performance, from small domestic needs to larger agricultural and industrial installations. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can you buy the IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. 3" IBQ series pumps are available from trading partners, installation wholesalers and authorized online distributors.
What warranty conditions apply to the 3" IBQ pump?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
