3" IBQ 2-6 – submersible pump
The IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump is a multistage design with a high-speed motor, intended for drawing and conveying raw water in single-family homes and farms, as well as for irrigation, drainage, and industrial applications. The inverter integrated with the motor ensures a soft start without hydraulic shock and a wide tolerated supply-voltage range, while the drive’s smaller dimensions make installation in narrow boreholes easier.
Who it is for
-
Owners of single-family homes – the compact design fits narrow wells, while the wide supply-voltage range (160–250 V) increases resistance to fluctuations in the power grid.
-
Farms and horticultural operations – higher-capacity models supply irrigation systems and drip lines without the need to use a larger motor.
-
Industrial and drainage installations – the soft start reduces mechanical and electrical loads during frequent pump starts.
-
Installers – the motor’s smaller dimensions, while maintaining the same hydraulic parameters, reduce borehole and installation costs.
Applications
The 3" IBQ series is intended for drawing raw water from boreholes and open water tanks for single-family homes, farms, garden and orchard irrigation, area drainage, and supplying water-supply and industrial systems with raw water before treatment. The pump is not a water-treatment device – when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate water preparation.
The pumps operate on single-phase power over a wide range of 160–250 V, at a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The 3" IBQ 230 V submersible pump works with a hydrophore tank with a capacity of at least 80 l, which results from the motor’s soft-start characteristics.
Features of the 3" IBQ series
The IBO 3" IBQ series pumps are equipped with a high-speed motor (6000 rpm) using permanent magnets and an inverter. The inverter does not regulate pump capacity according to water consumption – its task is to increase and maintain the motor’s high speed, which, with the same hydraulic parameters, allows a smaller motor to be used than in a traditional pump.
The inverter provides a gentle, several-second soft start without a sudden increase in current consumption and without hydraulic shock in the installation. It also monitors the motor’s current consumption, switching off the pump if dry running is detected. The body, housing, shaft, and rotor are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the impeller and diffuser are made of PPO polymer.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump
Which well is the 3" IBQ submersible pump suitable for?
The maximum pump diameter is 78 mm, allowing installation in typical 3-inch drilled wells. Before purchasing, it is worth measuring the actual borehole diameter to avoid installation problems.
What makes the 3" IBQ pump stand out?
The pump uses a high-speed motor (6000 rpm) with permanent magnets and an inverter, allowing it to have smaller dimensions than a traditional motor while maintaining the same hydraulic parameters. The inverter also provides a soft start without hydraulic shock, a wide supply-voltage range (160–250 V), and built-in dry-run protection based on monitoring current consumption.
Is a special hydrophore tank required for the 3" IBQ pump?
Due to its gentle, several-second soft start, the pump should work with a hydrophore tank with a minimum capacity of 80 l – a tank that is too small may cause the pump to start too frequently.
How do I choose the 3" IBQ pump model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the well depth and the amount of water needed simultaneously – the series includes variants with different heads and capacities, from modest household needs to larger agricultural and industrial installations. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can I buy the IBO 3" IBQ submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. 3" IBQ series pumps are available from trading partners, installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
What warranty conditions apply to the 3" IBQ pump?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
