Short description
A check valve is a safety fitting that protects water installations against uncontrolled
backflow of the medium. As the manufacturer of the IBO brand, we offer a wide range of
check valves with brass and plastic inserts, available in sizes
from 1/2" to 4", allowing the appropriate solution to be selected for different types of installations.
For whom
- Installers – we make it easier to select the appropriate insert size and type (brass or plastic) for a specific installation.
- Household users – we provide reliable protection of water installations against backflow.
- Service companies – we provide access to technical documentation and support in selecting replacements across the entire size range.
- System designers – we enable precise selection of the insert size and type based on pressure and temperature conditions.
- Wholesalers and distributors – we provide a consistent, complete range of IBO check valves within one product series.
Applications
- Protection of water supply systems against the medium flowing back into the supply network.
- Installation in systems with pumps, pressure tanks and pressure vessels, depending on the selected size.
- Variants with a brass insert – applications requiring operation across a wider temperature range and at higher pressure.
- Variants with a plastic insert – installations with lower operating requirements, operating at lower pressure.
Features, description and technical data
The IBO check valve is a safety fitting designed to
allowing the medium to flow in only one direction. This protects
the installation and connected devices (e.g. pumps, pressure tanks) from the effects of
water flowing back through the system.
As the manufacturer of the IBO brand, we offer this series in two design variants,
differing in the type of insert:
-
Brass insert – available in sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4",
1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 3", 4". Operating temperature range from -15°C to 120°C, maximum
inlet pressure range: 16 bar.
-
Plastic insert – available in sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1". Operating
operating temperatures from 0°C to 95°C, maximum inlet pressure 10 bar.
The series includes 12 IBO check valve models in total, differing in size,
connection type and insert type, allowing precise matching to the requirements of
the specific installation. Complete technical data for each size is available
in the product parameter table.
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty.
Dambat – a trusted manufacturer of pumps and hydrotechnical equipment with quality certificates.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – what is an IBO check valve used for?
What is an IBO check valve used for?
As the manufacturer of the IBO brand, we design check valves to protect water
water systems against reverse flow of the medium. The devices are typically installed near
pumps, pressure-boosting systems, or pressure tanks, protecting them against backflow
of water.
What is the difference between an IBO check valve with a brass insert and one with a plastic insert?
The version with a brass insert operates at temperatures from -15°C to 120°C at
a maximum inlet pressure of 16 bar. The version with a plastic insert is designed
is designed to operate from 0°C to 95°C at a maximum inlet pressure of 10 bar.
What sizes of IBO check valves are available?
IBO check valves with a brass insert are available in sizes from 1/2" to 4",
whereas versions with a plastic insert are available in sizes 1/2", 3/4", and 1". In total,
we offer 12 models in this series.
How do I install an IBO check valve in a water installation?
The check valve should be installed in accordance with the flow direction
indicated on the device housing and the manufacturer’s instructions. We recommend selecting
the appropriate variant (brass or plastic) for the temperature and pressure
prevailing in the installation.
Where can I buy IBO check valves manufactured by Dambat?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. IBO check valves are
available from our commercial partners and plumbing wholesalers, as well as
available from authorized online distributors.
Do IBO check valves require maintenance?
IBO check valves are maintenance-free under typical operating conditions; however,
we recommend periodically checking the installation’s flow capacity and tightness, especially during
operation near the limit values for temperature and pressure.
