Brief description
A check valve is a fitting that protects water installations against uncontrolled flow
reverse flow of the medium. As a manufacturer of the IBO brand, we offer a wide series of valves
returnables in variants with a brass insert and with a plastic insert, in sizes
from 1/2" to 4", which allows you to choose the right solution for various types of installations.
For whom
- Installers – we make it easier to select the appropriate size and type of insert (brass or plastic) for a specific installation.
- Home users – we provide reliable protection of water installations against backflow.
- Service companies – we offer access to technical documentation and support in the selection of replacements in the entire size series.
- Installation designers – we enable precise selection of the size and type of the insert based on pressure and temperature conditions.
- Wholesalers and distributors – we provide a consistent, complete offer of IBO check valves in one product series.
Application
- Protection of water supply installations against the medium flowing back into the supply network.
- Installation in systems with pumps, hydrophores and pressure tanks, depending on the selected size.
- Variants with a brass insert - applications requiring operation in a wider temperature range and at higher pressure.
- Variants with a plastic insert - installations with lower operational requirements, operating at lower pressure.
Features, description and technical data
The IBO check valve is an element of the safety fittings whose task is to:
allowing the medium to flow only in one direction. Thanks to this, it protects
installation and connected devices (e.g. pumps, hydrophores) against the effects
water backflow in the system.
As a manufacturer of the IBO brand, we offer this series in two design variants:
differing in the type of insert:
-
Brass insert – available in sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4",
1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 3", 4". Operating temperature range from -15°C to 120°C, maximum
input pressure 16 bar.
-
Plastic insert – available in sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1". Range
operating temperatures from 0°C to 95°C, maximum input pressure 10 bar.
In total, the series includes 12 models of IBO check valves, differing in size
connection and type of insert, which allows for precise adjustment to the requirements
specific installation. Full specifications for each size are available
in the product parameter table.
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty.
Dambat – a trusted manufacturer of pumps and hydrotechnical equipment with quality certificates.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – what is the IBO check valve used for?
What is the IBO check valve used for?
As a manufacturer of the IBO brand, we design check valves to protect installations
water from the return flow of the medium. The devices are usually installed at
pumps, hydrophores or pressure vessels, protecting them against backflow
water.
What is the difference between the IBO check valve with a brass insert and the version with a plastic insert?
The version with a brass insert operates in the temperature range from -15°C to 120°C at
maximum input pressure 16 bar. Version with plastic insert intended
is suitable for operation in the range from 0°C to 95°C with a maximum input pressure of 10 bar.
What sizes of IBO check valves are available?
IBO check valves with brass insert are available in sizes from 1/2" to 4",
while versions with a plastic insert include sizes 1/2", 3/4" and 1". Total
We offer 12 models in this series.
How to install an IBO check valve in a water installation?
The non-return valve should be installed in the direction of flow
indicated on the device casing and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. We recommend selection
variant (brass or plastic) according to temperature and pressure
prevailing in the installation.
Where can I buy IBO check valves manufactured by Dambat?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. IBO check valves are available
available from our trading partners, installation wholesalers and
from authorized online distributors.
Do IBO check valves require maintenance?
IBO check valves are a maintenance-free component under typical operating conditions, however
We recommend periodically checking the patency and tightness of the installation, especially when
operation close to the temperature and pressure limits.
