MAGNUM 2900 – submersible pump
The IBO MAGNUM submersible pump is designed for pumping sewage and dirty water free of abrasive particles such as sand. The power range from 250 W (MAGNUM 2500) to 550 W (MAGNUM 2900) allows you to choose a model suited to the size of a domestic septic tank or the scale of flooding. The lack of a built-in float switch allows the pump to be connected to your own control equipment or an installation with an external automatic controller.
Who it is for
-
Installation and service companies – the lack of a built-in float allows the pump to be connected to your own control system or existing automation.
-
Owners of houses and plots with tanks equipped with automation – the power range from 250 W to 550 W allows you to choose a model suited to the size of a domestic septic tank or the scale of flooding.
-
Farms and livestock holdings – the pump draws rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes, and rivers, while the more powerful models can also pump sewage from septic tanks.
-
Wholesalers and technical stores – the float-free version complements the range with a variant for customers who have their own control equipment.
Application
The MAGNUM submersible pump is designed for pumping sewage and dirty water free of abrasive particles such as sand. The pump is used to pump sewage from domestic septic tanks and to drain flooded rooms, houses, garages, and premises.
It is also used for pumping rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes, and rivers, as well as for supplying garden ponds. The device operates in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The 230 V MAGNUM submersible pump tolerates larger solid contaminants than pumps designed exclusively for clean water.
Features of the MAGNUM pump series
MAGNUM series pumps feature an aluminium motor housing, while the impeller housing and impeller are made of grey cast iron. The shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the mechanical seal uses a SiC/graphite/NBR arrangement.
The float-free version does not have a built-in switch – pump operation and dry-running protection are provided by external equipment selected separately for the installation and the user's needs. For example, a pressure-booster controller or pressure switch. Thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating, while the threaded discharge outlet allows a hose to be connected using a clamp or quick coupling.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – MAGNUM submersible pump
What type of sewage is the MAGNUM pump designed for?
MAGNUM pumps are designed for sewage and dirty water free of abrasive particles such as sand. The passage beneath the impeller varies depending on the model, allowing you to choose the appropriate size for the installation's requirements.
How can a float-free pump be protected against dry running?
The pump does not have a built-in switch, so dry-running protection must be provided by external control equipment, such as a separately installed float switch or a pressure-booster controller. See our range of controllers and protection devices.
What is the difference between the float-free version and the version with a float?
The float-free version does not have a built-in switch and is intended for installations controlled by an external automatic controller or switched on manually, for example in sumps with their own control system already installed. The version with a float has a built-in float switch and operates automatically, without the need to install additional equipment.
How do I choose the right MAGNUM pump model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the required delivery head and capacity – the float-free version includes variants from 250 W (MAGNUM 2500) to 550 W (MAGNUM 2900), selected according to the size of the septic tank or the scale of flooding. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can I buy a MAGNUM submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. MAGNUM pumps are available from commercial partners, installation wholesalers, and authorised online distributors.
What warranty terms apply to the MAGNUM pump?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Dambat provides warranty and post-warranty service.
