Submersible pumps — from the water intake to the irrigation system
Submersible pumps are the heart of most installations on farms with their own borehole. When selecting a submersible pump, it is worth considering the well’s internal diameter, the depth of the water table, the required flow rate, and the lifting height.

3.5 SDM IBO — submersible pump for narrower boreholes and smaller farms, supplied with a 20 m cable.
4 SPINOX IBO ITALY — multistage submersible pump made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel, for wells with a diameter of at least 115 mm.
4 FP4 IBO ITALY — 4-inch three-phase submersible pump for medium-sized water intakes.

Tractor and gasoline pumps — when the source is a pond or reservoir
Where water comes from a surface source—a pond, canal, or retention reservoir—pumps driven by a tractor’s power take-off shaft are the right choice.
PRO tractor pump — single-stage, self-priming, with a capacity of up to 1,000 l/min and a lifting height of up to 30 m. It can pump contaminated water, including slurry.
The PRN tractor pump is a single-stage centrifugal pump for clean water, with a flow rate of up to 750 l/min and a head of up to 70 m. The pump is designed for demanding irrigation systems, including irrigation reels.
The BZP petrol pump features a 4-stroke, 6.5 HP engine, a flow rate of up to 1,000 l/min, and independence from the electrical grid. It is suitable for remote parts of the farm and emergency situations.
Irrigation reel for irrigating a cultivated field
The IR-IBO 75/400 irrigation reel is designed to irrigate medium-sized and larger areas — 75 mm PE pipe, 400 m long, a water-turbine-driven winding system with a gearbox, smooth winding-speed adjustment, and a full-circle sprinkler on the end carriage. The construction is designed for use in fields, orchards, and meadows.
Control and equipment for the farm machinery fleet
IVR inverters maintain constant pressure in the irrigation system by regulating the pump motor’s rotational speed:
IVR-11 with a pressure sensor — for smaller three-phase pumps powered from a single-phase socket.
IVR-400 — for more powerful 400 V pumps, including the FX6 and AP6 six-inch pumps.

Which submersible pump should I choose for irrigating a cultivated field?
Choosing a submersible pump for irrigation depends on three parameters: the borehole’s internal diameter, the depth of the water table, and the required flow rate in the field. For smaller farms (up to approximately 6 m³/h), 3.5- and 4-inch pumps, such as the 3.5 SDM 3-11 or 4 SPINOX, are suitable. For larger areas, commercial plantations, and orchards, 6-inch IBO ITALY submersible pumps from the AP6 and FX6 series are the standard, delivering up to 60–100 m³/h at a head exceeding several dozen metres.
What is the difference between the PRO and PRN tractor pumps?
PRO is a self-priming pump with a flow rate of up to 1,000 l/min and a head of up to 30 m that can pump contaminated water, including slurry. PRN is a standard-suction pump designed for clean water, with a flow rate of up to 750 l/min and a head of up to 70 m—suitable for demanding irrigation systems, including supplying traveling sprinklers. Both pumps are driven by a tractor’s power take-off shaft (WOM, 540 rpm) and require a tractor with power from 15 to 125 HP.
When is a gasoline pump a better choice than an electric pump on a farm?
The BZP-30 gasoline pump is independent of the electrical grid, so it is suitable wherever there is no power connection—in remote parts of a farm, near ponds and rivers, during power outages, or in emergency situations such as flooding and firefighting. Its 6.5 HP four-stroke engine delivers flow rates of up to 1,000 l/min and a head of up to 30 m. The 3"/3" ports allow it to handle fire hoses and quickly move large quantities of water in the field.
Is an inverter necessary for irrigation?
The IVR inverter maintains constant pressure in the irrigation system by regulating the pump motor’s rotational speed. This is particularly important when the system has multiple sections with different water demands—the inverter adjusts pump operation to current demand, ensures uniform irrigation across all sections, and reduces water hammer when the pump starts. IVR inverters have built-in protection against dry running, short circuits, overload, and excessively low or high voltage.
Which pump should be selected for the IR-IBO 75/400 traveling sprinkler?
The pump supplying a traveling sprinkler must provide pressure and flow in accordance with the specifications of the selected sprinkler nozzle. In practice, 6-inch deep-well pumps (e.g., 6 AP6 F10 or 6 FX6 55-8) are selected for water drawn from a borehole, or a PRN tractor-driven pump or BZP-30 gasoline pump for surface water intake.
