- location of the pump (sewer riser),
- engine power needed to perform the task,
- applications - the type of purpose of the pump also determines the diameter of the pipes to which it will be connected.

Pumps with a grinder are the perfect solution for sewage or septic tank treatment, which contains a large amount of thick suspension. They are perfect for grinding fine suspensions from sediments accumulating at the bottoms of tanks, so they can also be successfully used to clean tanks other than septic tanks, for example in home gardens. Pumps with a grinder are also suitable for cleaning drainage wells where rainwater is collected.
