Many well owners wonder how to draw water from it effectively and, above all, comfortably. The crank and bucket, which were once the only option, are fortunately no longer needed. Nowadays, we use modern solutions, among which submersible pumps deserve special attention. However, in order for them to perform their functions properly, they must be installed correctly. Read how to install a submersible pump.
Submersible pumps are modern devices that they are used to extract water from deep wells. They are used in various irrigation systems, and their numerous advantages make them suitable for use in single-family homes, industrial plants and farms. Thanks to them, we will not only provide water from the tap, but also water the garden using free water from our own well. The pump will operate fully effectively and provide comfort of use only if it is installed correctly.
The most important issue before installing a submersible pump is to select its parameters to suit the size and capacity of the well. Even the best pump will not meet our expectations if we ignore this issue. The diameter and depth of the well, as well as the water quality, are important elements to consider. Once we are sure that we have chosen the right device, we can start installing it.
- The first step is to properly prepare the pump, which involves screwing in a nipple with a non-return valve of the same size as Connection threaded. This will not only allow you to connect the PE pipe later, but will also prevent water from flowing back. After doing this, you can start installing the PE pipe using high-pressure fittings.
- The second very important step is to install the steel cable. This will prevent the pump from falling to the bottom of the well. To ensure that it is solid, it is best to make it of acid-resistant steel and secure it with two clamps.
- For the submersible pump to operate, it must be connected to a power source. Although the power cable is included in the set, it may be too short for deep drilling. In such a situation, the next step will be to extend it using a hermetic connector, then attach it to the pipe along its entire length and release it through the hole in the well head.
- The last step is to install the well head. It is not worth skipping it in favor of makeshift solutions, because a professional head will be durable and functional. It is worth screwing a three-way outlet to the pipe located above it, which will allow you to connect the pump to the hydrophore, but also use it, for example, to water the garden. It should also be remembered that in the case of dug wells, it is necessary to use a pipe forcing water circulation around the engine. Installation will also be very useful pump control devicesthat will protect the device against dry running, voltage drop or overload.
Proper installation of the submersible pump guarantees its proper operation. Matching it to the parameters of the well will ensure adequate water consumption, which will guarantee the user full comfort.
