Montaż pompy głębinowej bez tajemnic

Submersible pumps are devices for special tasks that can operate several or even several meters underground. They are irreplaceable in many situations: they supply water to households and make it available at the appropriate pressure at all consumption points; help draw water necessary to water plants; and larger structures are perfect for large-scale industrial use. However, for the submersible pump to perform its function properly, it must be properly installed. What is it about? How does it connect to device parameters? And what should you remember? We answer these and other questions in our article.

Parameters and installation of the device

In order for the installation of a submersible pump to proceed as planned, it is necessary to select the device carefully. What is worth paying special attention to? First of all, the quality of workmanship and the materials used in the entire process. It turns out that the use of modern technologies in the engine and hydraulic elements and the presence of appropriate safeguards have a positive impact not only on the operation of the pump, but also on the process of its assembly. When making a choice, we must also pay attention to the efficiency and lifting height, as well as whether the pump can operate in the so-called dirty water. It is also extremely important to check the soil and water conditions in our area. What does this mean? It is necessary to determine at what depth the aquifer is located and whether there are large fluctuations in its level. The size of the device is also a key element - it should be smaller than the diameter of the well.

What to remember?

In most cases, submersible pumps are installed in a vertical position. The exception are those devices whose structure allows installation at an angle, but not more than ninety degrees from the vertical. Importantly, if the installation takes place in a well made of concrete rings or in a tank, it is necessary to enclose the device in a protective pipe.

Submersible pump it cannot be lowered to the bottom of the well. The optimal location is usually determined by the manufacturer himself, specifying the minimum height difference between the pump motor and the bottom of the well, the minimum water level above the pump hydraulics, and the maximum depth of the pump below the water level.

It is also worth remembering that installing a submersible pump is a complicated and responsible task that requires knowledge and experience. To ensure proper operation of the device, you should seek the help of specialists.

Submersible pump - how to install?

To assembly submersible pump was possible, it is necessary to collect all the elements included in the so-called pump set. The most important include, among others: hydrophore tank, submersible pump, three-way outlet, pressure switch, manometer, non-return valve, connector, and a head for closing the well.

We start the work by connecting the appropriate elements, i.e. placing the pump with a non-return valve, connector and head directly on the submersible engine. So we need to:

  • screw the non-return valve and connector into the pump,
  • connect the supply pipe to the submersible pump,
  • turn the head,
  • place the electric cable in the designated hole in the head,
  • connect the water supply pipe.

After completing these steps, we can place the pump in the well. The next important steps are:

  • tying the cable from the submersible pump at the head,
  • closing the well with a head,
  • connecting the water pumping pipe to the hydrophore tank,
  • installation of accessories, including a pressure gauge, pressure switch and three-way outlet.

After completing all stages, it's time to mount the tank on the wall, connect the PE pipe to the five-way outlet installed on the tank and connect the electric cable to the pressure switch.

Of course, each situation requires analysis and flexibility. For example, although in most cases the pump should be installed so that the lowest, dynamic water level is at least two meters above the pump discharge port, not every system allows for this. If we encounter such a problem, special protections should be installed to prevent the pump from running dry. Additionally, when lowering the pump, make sure that the power cable is attached to the discharge pipe with plastic bands so that it does not break or get damaged. In turn, a non-return valve should be installed directly above the pump to protect the device against impacts of returning water.

Appropriate safeguards

Before you start using the pump permanently, it is important to remember a few necessary safeguards. First of all, it is worth checking the well's efficiency. How to do it? It may be helpful to pump water continuously for at least an hour. If the water we extract is to be consumed by humans, it is necessary to test its suitability and composition. Safety is also determined by the sealing of all elements, which prevents drinking water from mixing with groundwater.

For the entire installation to function without disruptions, it is necessary to properly arrange the electric cable, which should be secured with plastic clamps that reduce stress. Seasonally low and even minus temperatures should also be taken into account, which may cause minor or major damage. To prevent them, it is worth using a thermal and insulating layer and remembering about the appropriate depth of placement of the most important elements. Importantly, the pipes we use should be connected with flexible conduits that eliminate vibrations and protect them against dangerous leakage.
