Relay (Ex protective barrier) EMS - EXI / 2
EMS SECURITY MODULE for Floatin the Ex explosion-proof version
- ATEX certified
- Active barrier suitable for zone 0-1-2
- Power supply 220V AC or 24V DC;
- Galvanic isolation between input, output and power circuit.
- Elimination of typical Zener barrier problems (equipotential grounding, etc.)
- Front LEDs and connection wiring
Possibility to set the operating mode of the EMS Module using six switches on the front for each channel separately (maintaining operating or quiescent current, i.e. NO/NC), as well as enabling and disabling monitoring of short circuit (WB) and wire break (SC).
If mechanical contacts are used, short circuit and wire break monitoring must be disabled or the contacts must be connected to shunt resistors (II).
The Pwr LED lights green to indicate ready for operation. Bi-color LEDs 1 and 2 glow yellow to indicate the switching status of the associated output. In the event of an input circuit fault, the two-color LED of the assigned faulty input turns red and input circuit monitoring is enabled. As a result, the associated output transistor becomes blocked.

entrances
Input circuits monitored for short circuit/open circuit (switchable ON/OFF).
exits
2 adjustable outputs (NO/NC mode) 250 V, 2.5 A - 100 VA.
applications
Galvanic isolation of exposed contacts or logic levels from potentially explosive atmospheres. Relay output towards safe zone.
GEX floats (ATEX) to be purchased separately.
