Application
The KBFU AUTO series is designed to drain water from construction sites, mines and quarries in automatic mode - without constant operator support. A level sensor built into the control system monitors the fill level of the well and automatically starts or stops the pump. A chrome alloy agitator actively breaks up mineral suspensions at the inlet, allowing media with particles up to 10 mm to be pumped. Connection DN 3" with the option of vertical or horizontal installation gives installers great freedom when designing the piping system.
A key element of the design is the cooling jacket surrounding the engine. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be completely immersed in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature - the engine is cooled through the jacket wall even at a very low liquid level in the tank. The SiC-SiC / SiC-SiC double mechanical gland ensures increased tightness and durability during long-term automatic operation in difficult conditions.

What is the difference between KBFU AUTO 80-3.7 T and KBFU 80-3.7 T?
The AUTO model has a level sensor with control system, a chrome alloy agitator and a double mechanical gland. The allowable particle size increases from 5 to 10 mm. In practice, the difference is simple: the standard 80-3.7 T requires manual actuation or external automation, AUTO does it itself and can handle thicker sludge.
Can the pump be left unattended for several days?
The control system, thermal protection and cooling jacket are designed for long-term operation without maintenance. The only risk is that the inlet will be blocked by too large solid particles - for long-term installations, we recommend installing a grate or inlet cover to limit access to the rotor to prevent winding burnout, which is not covered by the warranty.
Will the KBFU AUTO 80-3.7 T pump cope with groundwater with a large amount of sand?
Yes – that's what it's designed for. The rotor covered with a heavy abrasive layer of a chrome alloy and the SiC-SiC / SiC-SiC gland are materials selected for intensive contact with sand and other fine aggregates. The agitator additionally prevents sand from settling at the inlet when the pump is stopped.
