Application
The IBO KBFU AUTO series is designed to drain water from construction sites, mines and quarries in automatic mode - without constant operator support. A level sensor built into the control system monitors the fill level of the well and automatically starts or stops the pump. A chrome alloy agitator actively breaks up suspended minerals at the inlet, allowing pumping of media with particles up to 10 mm that would clog standard KBFU series models.
A key element of the design is the cooling jacket surrounding the engine. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be completely immersed in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature - the engine is cooled through the jacket wall even at a very low liquid level in the tank. The SiC-SiC / Carbon-SiC double mechanical gland ensures tightness during long-term operation in difficult conditions.

When to choose KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 T instead of 50-1.5 T?
The 50-2.2 T model is the right choice when the installation requires lifting above 20 m or when the discharge pipeline is long and generates greater hydraulic resistance. For similar applications with lower pressure requirements, the 50-1.5 T model will be completely sufficient - and will be cheaper to operate.
Why is a level sensor better than Float?
The classic float switch is a mechanical component with moving parts that is susceptible to cable wrapping, fouling and mechanical damage in harsh environments. The level sensor used in the KBFU AUTO series has a closed, tight structure without moving external elements - it is more resistant to sludge and does not require additional space in the well.
How to protect the pump against large particles and stones?
The pump itself has perforations at the inlet that provide the first barrier to larger particles. When working in environments with stones or thick rubble, it is worth additionally using a basket for the submersible pump - a metal cover in the shape of a basket with small perforations, which is placed directly on the pump and effectively filters what goes into the inlet. Alternatively, a protective mesh with mesh size smaller than 10 mm attached around the pump works well. Both solutions are cheap, easy to install and significantly extend the life of the device when working in polluted areas.
