IBO KBFU 100-7.5 T pump Sludge Submersible 400V
KBFU 100-7.5 T is a three-phase pump Sludge with a power of 7.5 kW, powered by 400 V with a DN 4" connection and lifting up to 40 m - the highest discharge pressure parameter in the entire KBFU series. The model is intended for the most demanding drainage installations, where simultaneous high pressure and high flow through a four-inch pipeline are necessary.
For whom
-
General contractors for the largest construction investments – lifting 40 m allows water to be discharged from extremely deep excavations or through very long horizontal pipeline routes without staging.
-
Large-scale mines and mining plants – 7.5 kW motor in continuous mode with a SiC-SiC / SiC-SiC choke guarantees durability when pumping heavily polluted media.
-
Companies implementing tunnel and infrastructure investments – high pumping pressure allows the operation of long horizontal pipelines while maintaining the required flow.
-
Drainage system engineers – the top DN 4" model in the KBFU range for applications where lower models do not meet the pressure requirements of the installation.
-
Industrial plants with permanent installations – a powerful three-phase motor and an all-ceramic gland minimize service costs during intensive, long-term use.
Application
The IBO KBFU series is designed for demanding working environments - from draining water from construction sites through mines and quarries, to crisis situations such as failures or natural disasters - wherever the pumped medium contains mechanical impurities that destroy standard centrifugal pumps. The durable cast iron construction of the hydraulic unit and the rotor coated with a heavy-abrasive chrome alloy layer withstand difficult operating conditions, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime. Connection DN 4" with a vertical outlet direction allows you to connect high-capacity pipelines directly above the pump.
A key element of the design is the cooling jacket surrounding the engine. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be fully immersed in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature - the engine is cooled by the jacket wall even when the water level in the trench is very low. Thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during long-term continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – pump Sludge KBFU 100-7.5T
Why does KBFU 100-7.5T have lower efficiency than KBFU 100-5.5T?
This is a classic hydraulic relationship - with the same connection diameter, higher engine power translates into an increase in pressure, not flow. The KBFU 100-7.5 T offers a lift of 40 m compared to 23 m of the 5.5 T model, at the expense of slightly lower efficiency (1,500 vs. 2,200 l/min). The 7.5 T model is the choice for installations with high hydraulic resistance - deep trenches or long pipelines.
What most often causes slurry pump failures and how to avoid it?
The most common causes are dry running - when the pump runs without water and overheats the engine - and pumping a medium with too high density or too large particles. KBFU 100-7.5 T is protected against overheating by the cooling jacket, but in unsupervised installations it is worth using an external level probe.
What happens if the pump pulls in too large a stone?
A stone that is within the permissible particle diameter will pass through the rotor - that's what the heavy-abrasive layer made of a chrome alloy is for. A larger stone will block the rotor: the motor still draws current, but the rotor is stationary, which leads to a sharp increase in winding temperature within a dozen or so seconds. In such a situation, the built-in thermal protection should turn off the pump before permanent damage occurs. If the pump suddenly stops drawing water with the engine running, immediately turn it off, pull it out and check the inlet. Waiting almost always ends with a burned out winding, which is not covered by warranty.
