KBFU 80-5.5 T is a three-phase pump Sludge with a power of 5.5 kW, powered by 400 V with a DN 3" connection and a lifting height of up to 34 m. This is the model with the highest lifting capacity in the DN 3" subgroup of the KBFU series - intended for installations that require both high delivery pressure and resistance to abrasive particles, e.g. when discharging water through long pipelines or from extremely deep excavations.

Application
The KBFU series is designed for draining water from construction sites, mines and quarries - wherever the pumped medium contains abrasive elements that destroy standard centrifugal pumps. The durable, cast-iron construction of the hydraulic unit and the rotor covered with a heavy-abrasive chrome alloy layer withstand difficult operating conditions, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and service costs. The vertical direction of the DN 3" outlet facilitates installation and connection of delivery hoses directly above the pump.
A key element of the design is the cooling jacket surrounding the engine. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be fully immersed in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature - the engine is cooled by the jacket wall even when the water level in the trench is very low. Thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during long-term continuous operation.

When to choose KBFU 80-5.5 T instead of KBFU 100-5.5 T?
KBFU 80-5.5 T offers a higher lift - 34 m compared to 23 m of the 100-5.5 T model. This is a model for installations where water must be pumped to a significant height or through a long pipeline with high hydraulic resistance. KBFU 100-5.5 T with a DN 4" connection is the choice when the priority is maximum flow at lower pressure.
How to connect the hose to the KBFU 80-5.5 T pump?
The DN 3" discharge port is threaded - the hose is connected using a clamp or a DN 3" quick connector. Using smaller diameter hoses using reductions is possible, but limits the efficiency of the installation.
What is the difference between KBFU 80-5.5T and KBFU 80-3.7T?
The 80-5.5 T model has higher power (5.5 vs 3.7 kW), higher efficiency (1300 vs 920 l/min) and higher lifting capacity (34 vs 29 m). Both pumps have the same SiC-SiC / SiC-SiC gland. The 5.5 T model is the choice for DN 3" installations, where the capabilities of the 3.7 T model may be insufficient.
