Hydrostatic probe SDS-10 is intended for smooth measurement of the medium level in tanks, pumping stations, canals and other places with high sedimentation. The liquid level transmitter is based on the principle that the measured static pressure of the liquid is proportional to the height of the liquid in the tank.
The product uses the piezoresistive effect of sensitive ceramic elements to convert static pressure into an electrical signal, which is transmitted to a dedicated digital circuit for: amplification, linear compensation, anti-interference, surge protection and other signal processing. The result is a signal with the parameters of a standard industry signal, e.g. 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, etc.
Thanks to the standardized electrical signal, accurate information about the level of the medium in the tank is obtained, which is used to read parameters and/or control levels, e.g. turning on or off: pumps, gate valves, penstocks, etc.
Destiny: Chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, various acidic liquids and gases other than hydrofluoric acid, dams, rivers and other places with large amounts of sediment.
Features:
- Much greater measurement accuracy and setting options compared to other measurement methods such as conductivity probes or float switches,
- Large measurement range in terms of tank depth and liquid level (0-10 m H2O) and insensitivity to temperature changes (-20°C–+80°C).
- No moving elements, such as a bending cable in the floats, which may lead to the float hanging or being damaged due to working out,
- Significantly lower susceptibility to clogging or sticking with sticky and solid sewage fractions than in the case of conductivity probes,
- Constant working conditions resulting from the need to constantly immerse the probe in the medium,
- Easy and low installation, the probe hangs on its own cable just a few cm above the bottom,
- High resistance to variable and aggressive sewage environment, in ordinary floats the cables become stiff, stiff and damaged over time, and conductivity probes become covered with dirt or coating and lose their conductivity conditions,
- The levels read by the transducer can be easily modified in the controllers; in the case of conductivity probes and floats, their installation in the tank must be interfered with.
