PS-13 - hydrophore machine
PC-13 by IBO is an electronic hydrophore automat that controls the operation of the pump depending on the water consumption. It turns on the pump when you turn on the tap and turns it off when you turn it off, so the installation works automatically, without manually turning on the pump. The device protects the pump against dry running, and the built-in pressure gauge and RESET button facilitate daily operation. The compact structure and ready-made wiring make installation quick.
For whom
- Installers and plumbers - ready-made wiring with a plug and socket reduces connection time, and the built-in check valve simplifies the construction of the system.
- Home owners with their own water intake - the automatic device maintains the pressure in the installation and stops the pump when there is no water.
- Users of surface pumps - the device replaces manual control of the pump and ensures its safe operation.
- Allotment gardeners and farms - automates the operation of the pump when collecting water, watering the garden and powering sprinklers.
Application
PC-13 works well in home and garden water installations powered by a single-phase pump. It turns the pump on when the pressure drops below the set threshold and flow appears in the pipe, and turns it off when the flow stops. In practice, the automatic device starts the pump when you turn on the tap or opens the sprinklers and stops it when you close them, so that water is available on an ongoing basis.
The device works with clean water without mechanical impurities and is mounted on the discharge side of the pump, in a vertical position. Additionally, it protects the installation against unnecessary activation of the pump in the event of minor leaks, because it reacts to the flow and not the pressure drop itself. The pump is controlled by the PC-13 230 V hydrophore machine.
Features of the PC-13 machine
PC-13 controls the pump based on water pressure and flow. When you turn on the tap, it starts the pump, and when you turn it off, it turns it off with a short delay of a few seconds, which reduces unnecessary work cycles. Built-in dry-running protection stops the pump when it runs out of water and protects it from damage. The first start-up and restart after protection is activated are performed using the RESET button.
The device has a built-in check valve that prevents water from flowing back into the pump, and a pressure gauge showing the current pressure in the installation. The diodes communicate the pump status - power supply and operation. PC-13 works with single-phase pumps with a current consumption of up to 10 A and is mounted between the pump and the first water receiver.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – PC-13 machine
What is the PC-13 machine used for?
PC-13 is a hydrophore device that turns on the pump when you turn on the tap and turns it off when you turn it off. Maintains the pressure in the installation and protects the pump against dry running.
What pumps does PC-13 work with?
The machine is designed for single-phase pumps with a power of up to 1.1 kW and a current consumption of up to 10 A, with a 230 V power supply. It works with clean water without mechanical impurities.
Does PC-13 protect the pump against dry running?
Yes. When there is no water, the machine stops the pump, which protects it against damage. The pump is restarted by pressing the RESET button after refilling the water.
Does PC-13 turn on the pump in case of minor installation leaks?
NO. The machine reacts to the water flow, not the pressure drop itself, so in the event of small leaks, the pump does not turn on unnecessarily. This reduces unnecessary pump cycles.
What is the difference between PC-13 and PC-59?
PC-13 has an IP54 protection rating and fixed settings, a PC-59 it has IP65, adjustable on and off pressure and two operating modes. You will find both models in the category drivers.
Where to buy the PC-13 machine?
