The GX grinder pump features a suction-assisted cutting system that enables the grinding of solids. These pumps are used wherever dirty liquid needs to be pumped through relatively small-diameter pipes, often already installed. Applications: domestic wastewater, liquids containing solids, and anywhere high pressure is required.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals in the oil chamber ensure proper product operation.
GX Grinder Pump – Advantages
The vacuum-assisted axial cutting system with a hardened-steel knife in GX pumps ensures effective grinding of the contents of domestic wastewater. The knife rotating inside the pump inlet works like a milling cutter, cutting and grinding everything into small pieces, allowing wastewater to be pumped through narrow pipes with diameters as small as DN40. The shape of the knife and the precisely adjustable disc make the risk of waste wrapping around the rotating parts very low. Protrusions extending from the disc effectively break up the braid that often forms around the knife and is usually the cause of impeller blockage.
GX Grinder Pump Installations
GX pumps are designed for domestic and household wastewater pumping stations as well as compact pumping stations often located in buildings. Pumps with an axial solids-grinding system can be successfully installed on coupling feet, such as EASY 3.1 or EASY 3.2, in DRENO BOX pumping stations or on DUTY 50 coupling feet.
Controlling a Domestic Grinder Pump
GX series pumps can be controlled either by a built-in float or by an external signal, for example from an M121 or M131 controller (single- or three-phase). For more demanding customers, we can offer advanced control systems using 3, 4 or more floats, a hydrostatic probe or a system configured according to the customer's requirements.
