Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. In the standard configuration, the lip seal is installed on the motor side, while the mechanical seal is installed on the impeller side. The “EVO” version of the pump features a double mechanical seal located in the oil chamber.

The parameters of the Alpha V pump make it an alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, exposing the user to operating difficulties. The free passage beneath the impeller allows contaminants up to 40 mm in size to pass through, ensuring long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content with ease, whereas macerators act like winding reels. The blades of macerators quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with a free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
Alpha V is available in four versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float switch or an external signal. For controlling sewage pumps (except versions with an integrated float switch), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and dual-pump lift stations, we offer professional relay-contactor and microprocessor-controlled power and control panels.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The Alpha V sewage pump can easily water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. Alpha V has stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing it to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, it comes standard with a 10-metre power cable. All Alpha V pumps have a vertical outlet, meaning they are not compatible with coupling feet such as EASY.
